After obtaining the CE certification as a biostimulant under Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, Taralife Status®by IntraCrop and distributed by Tarazona Agrosolutions in Spain and Portugal, takes another step forward in its consolidation as a reference agronomic solution. The certification is now extended to include horticultural crops, ornamentals, medicinal and aromatic plants, adding to the existing registrations in extensive crops and woody perennials.
What does this extension mean?
CE certification guarantees that Taralife Status® meets the safety and quality requirements of the European Union as well as the efficacy claims stated on its label. This extension extends these guarantees, recognized throughout the EU, to a wider range of valuable crops, which is of great benefit to growers, distributors and agronomists.
Results of horticultural trials
To obtain this extension, data were sent from trials carried out on different crops of the groups reached with the extension, such as tomato, bell pepper, cucumber and arugula. The results showed significant improvements in:
- Leaf chlorophyll content (SPAD index) and NDVI.
- Number of plants per unit area.
- Increase in the number and weight of the crop.
- Crop color, more uniform and commercial.
- General crop health, with lower incidence of stress.
In addition, Taralife Status® showed improved crop resilience to extreme climatic conditions, such as heat waves, water stress or root asphyxia. Treated crops showed improved grading quality, which represents a direct benefit for commercial production.
